Program Overview – Central Services, Digital Transformation Office
WoodGreen’s strategy is to deliver a holistic experience for its community services that offers the potential to meet our client’s unmet needs in a unique way across the city. Sitting within our Central Services division,
the Digital Transformation Office has been recently established to enable this vision across the organization by delivering new and enhanced capabilities for digital solutions, analytics, and digital experiences with an enterprise mindset.
What You Will Do
Digital Strategy & Governance
- Establish cross-functional relationships with business stakeholders to understand the strategies and technology capability needs that could be supported by digital solutions
- Provide thought leadership on digital solution approaches and with industry and nonprofit best practice and how to apply them to our strategies and ways of working
- Stay current with emerging technologies including AI and cloud-enabled platforms and products
- Develop an enterprise-wide digital solutions strategy for an organizational architecture aligned with our business units’ strategic objectives and priorities
- Lead a digital solutions governance model and its various bodies by setting strategy, analyzing needs and options to create recommendations, and delivering on decisions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and governance decision-makers to develop and implement business unit and technical roadmaps for new technologies and capabilities
Solution Implementation
- Oversee a team responsible for effective business analysis, requirements gathering, project and change management for technology project implementations
- Cultivate business stakeholder relationships to support the effective management of projects from concept to post-implementation; resolving project-based conflicts as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with technology partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support the effective evaluation, negotiation, selection, and implementation of fit-for-purpose digital solutions at both the platform and product level
- Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics team to ensure digital solutions are aligned with WoodGreen’s enterprise data strategy
Systems Development & Support
- Guide and oversee a team responsible for internal DevOps:
managing and enhancing existing and new cloud-based digital solutions with an emphasis on low-code platforms
- Lead a team responsible for digital solutions across WoodGreen under integrated engagement and support models with an emphasis on partnership, continuous improvement of solutions and service standards
- Ensure effective prioritisation and timely delivery of end user issues management, technical service requests, and necessary solution enhancements
- Resolve escalations collaboratively with relevant stakeholders and business systems staff
- Ensure digital solutions’ documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date and value-adding, such as: technology architecture maps, designs, standard operating procedures, and others
- Collaborate with information systems specialists to ensure all digital solutions align to security, privacy,
reliability, and scalability standards, policies, and best practices
What You Bring to the Team
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a field related to project management, systems design, and/or technical support, with at least 3 years in management or leadership roles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Project Management or a related technical field
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills for influence and direction with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Proven record of driving business value through technology
- Commitment to mentorship and supporting team learning
- Proficiency in Microsoft solutions such as Dynamics 365 and Power Platform preferred
