Reporting to the Director of Operations in Canada, with a dotted line to the Group Controller in the USA; this position is integral in driving financial excellence and supporting operations at the Ajax Manufacturing Facility. The role involves close collaboration with the leadership team to provide strategic financial recommendations based on comprehensive analysis, while leading a strong, established accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative approach to coaching peers, enhancing financial acumen, and developing team members to elevate overall performance.

This role:

- Oversee operations controllership for the Ajax, ON manufacturing facility and lead the Accounting Team (3 members).
- Support group initiatives to achieve financial goals and targets.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive both financial and operational performance.




- Provide strategic financial leadership, including insights and reporting on country metrics and KPIs, and manage the full budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on continuous improvement plan for the recently implemented ERP & Warehouse Management System.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Functions as the lead accounting and finance professional for Canada and serves as the business partner to the Operations Management & Sales Team, focusing on providing financial and operational leadership and improvements, including identifying and driving cost reductions.
- Coordinate all planning processes, including the annual budget, strategic planning, and forecasting.
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring the preparation, approval of journal entries, transactions,



and reporting in compliance with GAAP and Corporate Policies.
- Collaborate closely with the local leadership team, providing the necessary information and tools to drive success and create value within their departments.
- Frame financial and operational issues in a business case format, contributing to the strategic direction of the Canadian business.
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve or standardize business processes to drive value creation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability through skills development, coaching, performance measurement, and feedback.
- Manage and drive efficiencies in inventory levels through process management.
- Develop business cases for capital requirements and support the capital planning process.

CANDIDATE CHARACTERISTICS:

- Proven people manager of high caliber teams

- Independent thinking, organizational and planning abilities, analytical, and problem-solving skills

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in progressive finance/accounting roles
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience implementing ERP system preferred




- Experience in a centralized Supply Chain Finance org preferred
- Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of successfully partnering with senior leadership
- Exceptional analytic skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools
- Strong customer service and communication skills, ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment

The expected annual salary for this position is between $100,677.00 and $130,880.00 and will be eligible for incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
