As a Technical Customer Service Representative, you will play a key role in supporting the outside sales team and delivering customer service to clients. Your responsibilities will include providing sales support, addressing customer inquiries, and promoting a range of steel products and services, such as steel cutting, shaping, and processing. You will serve clients across diverse industries, including Construction, Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy, Agriculture, and more. This is a full-time, on-site role with a base salary of $65,000–$75,000, plus yearly bonuses and additional perks.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $65,000-$75,000 plus annual bonus
- First-year OTE - $75K - $85K

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:
- The Head Office is located in Etobicoke, ON
- This is a work-from-office, Monday to Friday full-time role
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of technical Customer Service, or technical project management experience is required
- Familiarity with the Steel industry is a definite strong plus
- Must have experience and strong knowledge of reading blueprints/drawings
- Programming experience is considered as an asset - AutoCAD
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Excel: Intermediate
- Microsoft Office products - must-have experiences
- Read blueprints: must-have

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:
Customer Service:
- Interact with clients to address inquiries, provide product information, and resolve issues.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Quoting and Estimating:
- Prepare accurate quotes and estimates for customers based on their requirements.
- Follow up with clients to confirm orders and provide additional support as needed.
Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team by managing customer accounts and ensuring smooth communication between clients and the company.
- Support the sales process by providing technical and product-related information to customers.
Account Management:
- Take ownership of specific customer accounts, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services.
Technical Knowledge:
- Utilize technical knowledge of steel products (e.g., carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel) to assist customers in selecting the right materials for their needs.
- Provide guidance on product specifications and applications.
Follow-Up:
- Conduct follow-ups with clients to ensure orders are processed correctly and delivered on time.
- Address any post-sale concerns or issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, such as production, logistics, and sales, to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with suppliers and other stakeholders to resolve any supply chain issues.
